Introducing Yasuyo Cooper……
Yasuyo Cooper is one of the loveliest people you will ever meet.
She is also a creative talent whose efforts are deservedly coming to fruition.
Yasuyo’s creations include ceramics, paintings, sketches, origami and textiles.
Her statement:
‘In my childhood I lived in rural Japan and the local woodlands became a central theme for my early formative years. These fond memories were the starting point for my chosen theme and have been merged alongside traditional Japanese artistic expression. I have focused upon the manipulation of layers of materials to create textured surfaces; transparent materials, minimal colour and the use of light and shadow. The results of which are what I like to call a ‘delicate’ atmosphere. ‘
